BALLARD

We created three unique labels for Ballyhoo Distillery — Bergamot & Rose, Mississippi Dry Gin, and Barrel Rested Gin — that employ a custom dimensional logo harkening back to fruit box labels rendered over 100 years ago. The condensed typeface and squat bottle allows the consumer to read the entirety of the label at a glance and uses four additional colors for pop in a stylized shadow technique. The label’s background botanical pattern creates texture across the flavors and represents the complex ingredients infused into the gin.
We selected gold foil stamping for the Ballard Gin bottle bringing the botanical ingredients to the forefront while repeating the water motif on the scalloped edge from the front label — thus also referencing the seaside location of the distillery. The wood cap reinforces the traditional feel of the brand while giving a tactile experience.
